Evalina Dias

Evalina Dias is the president of Djass – Associação de Afrodescendentes, an organization dedicated to promoting the rights and visibility of Afro-descendant communities in Portugal. She has played a key role in advocating for cultural recognition and historical awareness regarding the impact of slavery in Portuguese history. Recently, she has been involved in discussions surrounding the delayed project of a memorial to the enslaved in Lisbon, which aims to honor those who suffered under the transatlantic slave trade.
