
João Gomes da Silva
João Gomes da Silva is a prominent Portuguese landscape architect born in Lisbon in 1962. He is recognized for his critical approach to landscape design and has co-authored significant restoration projects, including the historic Termas de São Pedro do Sul and the redesign of Ribeira das Naus in Lisbon. As a founding member of Global Arquitectura Paisagista, he has contributed to the discourse on contemporary landscape transformations. He is an associate professor at Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa and has taught at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Recently, he was awarded the 5th edition of the Prémio Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles for his outstanding work in the environment and landscape.
