Evgeni Platov

Evgeni Platov is a retired Russian figure skater, best known for his achievements in ice dancing with partner Oksana Grishuk. Born on February 19, 1972, Platov won two Olympic gold medals (1994, 1998) and three World championships (1994, 1995, 1996). His partnership with Grishuk was marked by a blend of technical skill and artistic expression, which revolutionized the sport of ice dancing. After retiring from competitive skating, Platov has remained involved in figure skating as a coach and commentator, contributing to the sport's development.
