Faruk Smajlović

Faruk Smajlović is a former drummer and member of the band Inat from Srebrenica, who was separated from his friends and bandmates during the Bosnian War. His experience, along with that of his bandmate Samir Mehić, reflects the struggles of artists during wartime, as they navigated loss and separation while holding onto their dreams of musical reunion amidst the turmoil.
