Fathollah Khan Bounsor Sheibani
Fathollah Khan Bounsor Sheibani, known as Bounsor Sheibani, was a notable poet and writer during the Qajar era in Iran. He was recognized for his powerful voice and his distinguished poetry style, particularly in the Khorasani style known as Turkestani. Bounsor's career spanned from the late reign of Mohammad Shah to the end of Nasser al-Din Shah's rule, during which he expressed social critiques and grievances about the conditions of the people in his verses. Despite his close ties with influential figures of his time, he often faced opposition from the ruling court, particularly from Nasser al-Din Shah, who disapproved of his candid critiques. Bounsor was also involved in cultural preservation, as he transformed part of his home into a public library that held approximately 4,000 rare books, although much of this legacy has unfortunately been lost over time.
