
Fazlolah Zahedi
Fazlolah Zahedi was an Iranian general and politician who served as Prime Minister briefly following the 1953 coup that ousted Prime Minister Mohamed Mosadek. Supported by the CIA and British intelligence, Zahedi was appointed to stabilize the government in favor of the Shah, and his tenure was marked by the consolidation of the Shah's power amid growing anti-American sentiment in Iran.
