Fedele Camarda

Fedele Camarda is a fourth-generation rock lobster fisher based in Fremantle, Western Australia. He has been a pioneer in promoting sustainable fishing practices, notably through innovations that protect baby sea lions from being trapped in lobster pots. Under his family's stewardship, the Western Rock Lobster Fishery became the first fishery globally to be certified as sustainable by the Marine Stewardship Council in 2000, showcasing a commitment to environmental stewardship and responsible fishery management.
