Fedor Surganov

Fedor Surganov was a prominent Belarusian politician and a key figure in the leadership of the Belarusian SSR during the post-war period. He was known for his role in the restoration of the republic's economy and industry after World War II and served in various high-ranking positions, including as the second secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus. Surganov was also instrumental in organizing partisan movements during the war and was recognized for his leadership in the agricultural sector. His legacy includes the opening of the memorial complex 'Khatyn' and hosting notable international visitors like U.S. President Richard Nixon.
