Leonid Beda
Leonid Beda was a distinguished Soviet military pilot and a two-time Hero of the Soviet Union, famed for his remarkable service during World War II. He flew numerous combat missions, including participation in significant battles such as Stalingrad, and was known for his daring maneuvers and leadership skills. After the war, Beda continued to serve in the military, rising through the ranks to command the aviation of the Belarusian Military District. His career was tragically cut short in a car accident in 1976, while accompanying high-ranking officials.
