Fernando 'Lobo' Núñez is a well-respected musician and lutier of drums in Uruguay. He has made notable contributions to the country's musical landscape and is recognized for his craftsmanship in creating traditional percussion instruments. Núñez was also proposed to receive the honor of 'Ciudadano Ilustre' by council member Edgardo Aguirre. Despite receiving unanimous support in March 2023, his official recognition has yet to be finalized, mirroring a similar situation faced by the esteemed journalist César Di Candia.
