Flora Monti

Flora Monti, born in 1931 in Monterenzio, Bologna, became one of the youngest partisans in Italy at the tender age of 13. She joined the 66th Garibaldi Brigade, motivated by her family's history and the memories of her grandfather's suffering under fascist violence. Flora carried messages hidden in her hair and shoes, and her quick thinking saved her life during a search by fascist soldiers.
