Luciana Romoli, born in 1930 in Rome, also known as 'Luce', was an active participant in the Italian Resistance from a young age. Her early acts of defiance began when she was just eight, defending a Jewish classmate. As a courier for the Garibaldi Brigade, she and her sister often carried cyanide pills hidden in their socks, prepared to take their own lives rather than fall into enemy hands.
