Fr Seán Fortune was a Catholic priest notorious for his involvement in widespread child sexual abuse during the 1980s and 1990s in the Diocese of Ferns, Ireland. He was accused of raping and molesting 29 boys and died by suicide in 1999 just before facing criminal charges.
