Francesco (Pope Francis)

Pope Francis, born Jorge Mario Bergoglio in Argentina in 1936, has been the head of the Roman Catholic Church since March 2013. Known for his progressive views on social issues, he has focused on themes of mercy, compassion, and the importance of caring for the marginalized. Throughout his papacy, he has made significant efforts to reform the Church and foster interfaith dialogue. Recently, Pope Francis was hospitalized due to bilateral pneumonia, which raised concerns about his health, but he has since been released and is recovering.
