Fred Mayer

Fred Mayer was a Jewish refugee and one of the key figures who participated in a covert mission during World War II under the codename 'Brooklyn'. In February 1945, he parachuted into the Tyrolean Alps as part of a strategic operation orchestrated by the US intelligence to help facilitate the end of Nazi rule in the region. His actions, along with those of his comrades, contributed significantly to the peaceful surrender of Innsbruck, marking a pivotal moment in the war.
