
Frido Welker
Frido Welker is an associate professor of biomolecular paleoanthropology at the University of Copenhagen’s Globe Institute in Denmark. His research focuses on ancient proteins and their potential to provide insights into the evolutionary history of extinct species, including the Denisovans. Recently, he co-authored a study confirming the identity of a fossilized jawbone as belonging to a Denisovan man, utilizing advanced techniques to analyze ancient proteins.
