Gabi Luncă was a renowned Romanian singer of lăutărească music, born on October 16, 1938, in Vărbilău, Prahova County. She began her musical career in 1951, performing alongside her father, a violinist. Known for her unique style, she became a prominent figure in the Romanian folk music scene and recorded numerous albums, solidifying her legacy in the genre. Luncă passed away on April 2, 2021, after complications from COVID-19.
