Galina Belyaeva

Galina Belyaeva is a Belarusian politician and historian known for her dedication to necropolis studies and genealogy. She has been actively involved in creating the 'Necropolis of Belarus' website, which serves as a comprehensive database for historical burial sites across Belarus. Inspired by a request from a constituent, Belyaeva's project aims to document and preserve the stories and legacies of those buried in Belarusian cemeteries, dating back to the 15th century. With a team of volunteers, she has collected extensive records and continues to restore old graves, fostering a connection between communities and their historical roots.
