
Gannoaga Kiemdé
Gannoaga Kiemdé was a prominent figure in Burkina Faso's revolutionary movement and a close companion of President Thomas Sankara. He was assassinated on October 15, 1987, during a coup that also claimed Sankara's life. In recognition of his contributions to the independence and development of the nation, a street in Ouagadougou has been named in his honor.
