Geiner Zamora Hidalgo
Geiner Zamora Hidalgo was a dedicated agent of the Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) in Costa Rica, known for his commitment to law enforcement and community service. Tragically, he became the first OIJ agent to be murdered in a premeditated attack, highlighting the rising violence and insecurity in the country. His career spanned over 15 years, during which he was recognized as a promising investigator, ultimately leading efforts against organized crime. Geiner's untimely death on February 1, 2025, deeply affected his community and raised concerns about the safety of judicial officials in Costa Rica.
