Genepil

Genepil was a young woman of humble origins who became the last queen consort of Mongolia through a politically motivated marriage. Initially reluctant to accept her role, she was ultimately persuaded to marry Bogd Khan, Mongolia's last ruling khan, during a time of political upheaval. Following her husband's death, Genepil attempted to return to her previous life but became a symbol of the old regime as the communist government rose to power. She was arrested in 1937, accused of treason, and executed while pregnant, leaving behind a legacy that intertwines her story with themes of power, resistance, and loss.
