George Kelly Barnes

George Kelly Barnes, better known as 'Machine Gun Kelly,' was an American gangster who gained notoriety during the Prohibition era for his involvement in bank robberies and kidnappings. He was named for his preferred weapon, the Thompson submachine gun. Kelly's criminal exploits led to his capture and subsequent imprisonment at Alcatraz, where he became infamous for his violent lifestyle and connections to organized crime.
