Georgia Katakou

Georgia Katakou is a 26-year-old Greek doctoral student at the European University Institute in Florence, focusing on the themes of friendship and gender within the Greek left during the 1970s and 1980s. She has had a diverse educational journey, including attending the United World Colleges in the Netherlands and studying History at the University of Edinburgh and Modern European History at Cambridge University. Despite the challenges of financing her education, she has maintained resilience through various jobs while pursuing her studies. Recently, she expressed concerns about visa issues related to her research, especially following Harvard's decision to restrict foreign student enrollments.
