Gerardo de Jesús Toledo Guzmán has recently taken the position of head of the newly created subsecretary of Maritime and Port Affairs in the Mexican Navy, where he will oversee strategic leadership in maritime policy, the National Maritime Authority, and the merchant marine, following a major restructuring within the armed forces.
