Germán Cedano

Germán Cedano, a 46-year-old Peruvian artist known as 'calat33', has gained recognition for his ephemeral Sand Art that transforms beaches into monumental canvases. Based in the northern Spanish city of San Sebastián, Cedano creates intricate drawings in the sand that depict portraits, mandalas, and personalized messages. He has been practicing this unique form of art for over eight years, employing ropes, a cane, and rakes to meticulously craft designs that can span up to 50 meters in length. His work is transient, disappearing with the tides, but is often captured in photographs and videos.
