Ghassan Nassour

Ghassan Nassour is a former senior officer in the Syrian regime, known for his role in the detention of American journalist Austin Tice, who disappeared in Syria in 2012. Following the fall of the Assad regime, Nassour revealed details about Tice's captivity, including that he was held in a Republican Guard compound under his command. He has since spoken out about the regime's use of Tice as a pawn in negotiations with the United States.
