Gheorghe Stancu
Gheorghe Stancu was a prominent Romanian chemist, born in Iași, who made significant contributions to the fields of inorganic and analytical chemistry. He earned his doctorate in 1916 and became the first professor of inorganic and analytical chemistry at the University of Cluj. Stancu published numerous original works and was recognized internationally for his research, becoming a member of various chemistry societies around the world. He served as vice president of the Romanian Academy and passed away in 1955.
