Gibran Bassil

Gibran Bassil is a Lebanese politician and the leader of the Free Patriotic Movement (FPM). He has previously served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and as Minister of Energy and Water. Known for his controversial political positions and alliances, Bassil has been a central figure in Lebanese politics, especially in relation to issues of national identity and foreign policy. Recently, he has been in the news for expressing distrust in the newly formed government, despite initially supporting Prime Minister Najib Mikati's selection.
