Giorgos Papanikolaou

Giorgos Papanikolaou is the mayor of Glyfada, a municipality in the southern suburbs of Athens, Greece. He has been proactive in addressing local infrastructure issues, particularly concerning road maintenance and the impact of utility companies on public works. Recently, he imposed a €4,000 fine on EYDAP, Athens' water supply and sewage company, for inadequate restoration of a newly paved road following their operations. Papanikolaou has been vocal about the need for coordination between public and private entities regarding roadwork to ensure quality and longevity of municipal infrastructure.
