Giovanni Battista Perbellini, affectionately known as Tita, was a pastry chef and the father of Giancarlo Perbellini, whose strained relationship with his son became a poignant aspect of Giancarlo's personal narrative, especially after he passed away shortly before Giancarlo achieved three Michelin stars.
