Gitanjali Angmo

Gitanjali Angmo is a prominent climate activist and the co-founder of the Himalayan Institute of Alternatives Ladakh. She is widely recognized for her advocacy for environmental issues and the rights of the people in Ladakh. Recently, she has been in the news for condemning the allegations against her husband, Sonam Wangchuk, asserting that they are part of a targeted campaign to discredit his activism for Sixth Schedule protections in Ladakh. Angmo has publicly defended her husband, denouncing the claims against him as 'blatant lies' and part of a larger 'witch-hunt' aimed at undermining their movement.
