Giuseppe Antonio Borgese

Giuseppe Antonio Borgese was an Italian literary critic and anti-fascist who married Nica Borgese's mother, Elisabeth Mann, the fifth daughter of the Nobel Prize-winning author Thomas Mann. He was significantly older than Elisabeth, and their union connected Italian intellectual traditions with the legacy of Mann's literary family.
