Grigory Kastusyev
Grigory Kastusyev is a Belarusian political activist and leader of the now-defunct Belarusian People's Front party. He was sentenced to prison in 2022 as part of a crackdown on dissent following the contested 2020 presidential elections in Belarus, where he was accused of participating in a conspiracy to overthrow President Alexander Lukashenko. Kastusyev's imprisonment drew international attention, and he was released in the summer of 2024 due to health concerns, specifically an oncological condition.
