Hanna Gofrit

Hanna Gofrit, a 90-year-old Holocaust survivor who hid from the Nazis in Poland as a child, was present at the recent celebrations in Tel Aviv marking the release of hostages taken by Hamas. She drew parallels between her own experiences of liberation and the emotions felt by families of the recently freed hostages.
