Hari Singh
Hari Singh was the last Maharaja of the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir, ruling from 1925 until 1947. His decision to accede to India amidst the partition of British India and the subsequent invasion by tribal militias from Pakistan led to the first Indo-Pakistani war and has had lasting implications for the region's geopolitical landscape.
