Hashem Slaimankhel

Hashem Slaimankhel is a respected community leader and former physician who emigrated from Afghanistan to New Zealand. He tragically lost his life in a terrorist attack in Kabul in 2018, leaving a legacy of advocacy and service within the refugee health sector, while his son, also named Hashem, has faced challenges related to gang affiliation.
