Hatice Cengiz

Hatice Cengiz is a Turkish national who was engaged to the late journalist Jamal Khashoggi. She was waiting for him at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul when he was murdered in October 2018. Following his death, Cengiz has been a vocal advocate for justice, demanding accountability for his murder and bringing attention to the broader issues of press freedom and human rights violations.
