Havis Amanda

Havis Amanda, affectionately known as Manta, is a bronze statue created by sculptor Ville Vallgren in 1903, located at the Market Square in Helsinki. This iconic landmark has become a symbol of the city and is often the center of public celebrations and events. To protect the statue from the wear and tear of large gatherings, especially during major events like the Ice Hockey World Championships, it has been covered with plywood barriers, ensuring its preservation for future generations.
