Hazel Quirke

Hazel Quirke is the mother of Dillon Quirke, a promising young hurler who died unexpectedly at the age of 24. Together with her husband Dan, Hazel founded the Dillon Quirke Foundation in memory of their son, focusing on providing heart screenings for young athletes in Ireland. The foundation has made significant strides in raising awareness about Sudden Adult Death Syndrome, with a goal of screening tens of thousands of young sports participants to prevent similar tragedies.
