Héctor Marchena is a former Costa Rican footballer who gained recognition during the late 1980s and early 1990s. He was notably selected by coach Gustavo de Simone for the national team during the World Cup qualifiers, eventually earning a place in the squad that competed in the 1990 FIFA World Cup in Italy.
