Henry Lehman

Henry Lehman was one of the founding brothers of Lehman Brothers, an investment bank that played a significant role in the American financial landscape. Originally from Germany, he immigrated to the United States and established a general store in Alabama in 1844. Over time, the business evolved into a banking institution, particularly thriving during America's economic expansion in the 20th century. Henry's entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen laid the groundwork for what would become a major player in global finance, although the bank ultimately succumbed to the financial crisis of 2008.
