Henry Reese
Henry Reese is a co-founder of City of Asylum, a nonprofit organization based in Pittsburgh that provides sanctuary and support for writers in exile. He was present during the attack on Salman Rushdie at the Chautauqua Institution in August 2022, where he was also injured while attempting to assist Rushdie. Reese's work centers on advocating for free expression and promoting the voices of marginalized authors, making him a significant figure in the literary community.
