Horea
Horea, whose real name was Nicola Ursu, was a prominent leader of the peasant uprising in Transylvania during the late 18th century. He became a symbol of resistance against feudal oppression, rallying the peasantry to fight for their rights and better living conditions. Despite initial successes, Horea was ultimately betrayed by former allies and captured by imperial forces. He faced a horrific execution in 1785, which served as a grim reminder of the brutal repression of dissent during that era.
