Houthi Rebels
The Houthi rebels, officially known as Ansar Allah, are a political and armed movement from Yemen, primarily composed of Zaidi Shia Muslims. They emerged in the early 2000s, initially focusing on local grievances against the Yemeni government and later expanding their influence significantly during the Yemeni Civil War starting in 2015. The group has been involved in a complex conflict against a Saudi-led coalition and has gained notoriety for their capability to launch missiles and drone strikes, including a recent hypersonic ballistic missile fired at Israel.
