Hurricane was a heroic Belgian Malinois who served as a special operations canine for the U.S. Secret Service from 2012 to 2016. He gained national recognition for his bravery in 2014 when he subdued an intruder who had breached the White House gate, earning him the title of the most decorated K-9 in U.S. history. Over his distinguished career, Hurricane received numerous awards for valor, including the Award for Meritorious Service and the Secretary's Award for Valor. After his retirement, he was adopted by his handler, Marshall Mirarchi, and continued to inspire as a therapy dog for other working dogs. Hurricane passed away at the age of 15, leaving behind a legacy of courage and loyalty.
