II. Abdülhamid
II. Abdülhamid was the 34th Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, reigning from 1876 to 1909. He is remembered for his significant reforms and modernization efforts, as well as his patronage of the arts, including gifting exquisite timepieces, such as the 'griffon'-decorated table clock, which are now displayed in the Topkapı Palace Clock Museum.
