II. Ulászló
II. Ulászló was the king of Hungary from 1490 until his death in 1516. He ascended to the throne following a tumultuous period marked by the power struggles of the previous king, Matthias Corvinus. Ulászló's reign was characterized by his attempts to maintain stability in Hungary amidst external threats, particularly from the Ottoman Empire. His leadership faced criticism for its inability to effectively deal with the rising tensions in the region, culminating in the disastrous peasant uprising of 1514, which was partly a response to Bakócz Tamás's military campaign against the Turks.
