Iļjins is a senior officer within the Russian military, specifically associated with the 155th Naval Infantry Brigade, which has been linked to numerous atrocities during the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. He was also reported killed alongside other high-ranking officers in a recent attack by Ukrainian forces.
