Ingrid van Engelshoven

Ingrid van Engelshoven is a Dutch politician and member of the Democrats 66 party, who served as the Minister of Education, Culture and Science from 2017 to 2021. She is known for her initiative to revise the Dutch cultural canon in 2019, aiming to enhance diversity and representation by including more women and broader historical perspectives, responding to criticisms that the original canon was overly narrow and not representative of the country's full history.
