Ion Roată

Ion Roată, a significant figure in Romanian history, played a crucial role in the unification of Romania under Alexandru Ioan Cuza. He was elected as a deputy in the Ad-Hoc Divan of Moldavia and is remembered for his advocacy for peasant rights, despite facing persecution from authorities. He passed away on February 18/19, 1882.
